A blend of blood and glitter paint

With 13 years of experience in the animation industry, Daphne Mckinnie wanted to explore her unique blend of cute and horror sensibilities through her Kitty Ferox shop; sharing her girly, glittery massacres with others who adore her adorably macabre interests.

Her artistic influences include anime and manga such as Berserk, Akira, Tekkonkinkreet, and artists like Tsutomu Nihei and Satoshi Kon; as well as western horror films such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and John Carpenter’s The Thing. Alphonse Mucha and author Thomas Pynchon are also notable influences.

When not creating, Daphne enjoys hiking, studying biology and history, reading comics, watching horror movies, and running TTRPGs.

She deeply hopes you enjoy her work, which she has describes as lying “somewhere between Cronenbergian body horror and kawaii aesthetics.”
